Exchange and Refund Policy
Subscription Cancellation and Exchange/Refund Information
JapanHaru guarantees consumers' right to cancel their subscriptions in accordance with Article 17 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.
1. Subscription cancellation period
Customers may request cancellation (return) of subscription within 7 days from the date of delivery of the product.
- Within 7 days from the date of delivery
- If the product's contents are different from the displayed or advertised contents or if the contract is not performed as agreed upon, within 30 days from the date of becoming aware of or could have become aware of the fact.
2. Subscription withdrawal restrictions
In the following cases, subscription cancellation may be restricted:
- If the product is lost or damaged due to the customer's responsibility (except in cases where the packaging, etc. is damaged in order to check the contents of the product)
- If the value of the product has significantly decreased due to the customer's use or partial consumption.
- If the value of the product has significantly decreased over time to the point where resale is difficult
- If the packaging of a product that can be copied is damaged
- For custom-made products
- If a product is individually manufactured according to the customer's order and cancellation of subscription, etc. is accepted, it is expected that the company will suffer significant and irreparable damages.
3. Exchange and Return Procedures
Step 1: Request an exchange/return at customer service center
Please notify us of your intention to exchange/return by email or phone first.
Step 2: Returning the Product
Please return the item in its original packaging. Please take care to avoid damage during return.
Step 3: Inspection and Processing
After confirming the returned product, an exchange or refund will be processed.
4. Return shipping costs
- Simple change of mind: Customer is responsible for round-trip shipping costs
- Defective product or incorrect delivery: Company responsible
※ For products shipped directly from Japan, international shipping fees may apply and must be paid by the customer when returning the product.
5. Refund Processing
Refunds will be processed within 3 business days after confirmation of the returned product.
- Credit card payment: Cancellation of card company authorization (takes 3-5 business days)
- Bank transfer: Direct deposit into your account (takes 2-3 business days)
6. Exchange Processing
Exchanged items will be shipped immediately after confirmation of the returned item. If an exchange is not possible due to inventory availability, a refund may be issued.
7. Notes on overseas direct delivery products
For products shipped directly from Japan:
- Delivery time may be longer than domestic shipping (usually 7-14 days)
- Customs duties and VAT may apply and must be paid by the customer.
- International shipping costs will apply for returns and are the responsibility of the customer.
